KPA, a new dawn?

The port of Mombasa has an economic impact both to the county and the whole country. It plays a vital role of import and export transport. Mombasa port has been the hope of residents for the last few years. Kenya Ports  Authority has brought a lot of opportunities and it ensures that it operates and maintains all ports in Kenya.

The KPA has created job opportunities to the residents of Mombasa. So many opportunities available, now people are being employed to work around the port to earn capital that can sustain themselves and their families. This has reduced the number of jobless people in Mombasa. With the job creation opportunities there’s much hope for a decrease of young jobless people hence less theft scandals around Mombasa.

Tourist boost has been possible due to KPA. Tourists come by ships or cruises visiting Mombasa. The more tourists visit, the more increase in trade businesses. Trade around Mombasa is made easier; tourist and trade boost. Each time tourist comes with something new they get to trade with something that’s new to them around Mombasa.

Kenya port authorities have improved Mombasa’s infrastructure. There has been improved roads allover Mombasa. The Kenya, Uganda road to transport goods from the port to different locations. The new roads leading to Kwale county without the need of using ferry to get to Likoni first, have made it possible for goods to be transported in Mombasa and out of Mombasa.

The Kenya Port Authority is just a dream come true for Mombasa residents, it’s just hope to be a more developed city each day.
